Our Third Advent Little Liturgy invites children to celebrate Gaudete Sunday, the Sunday of joy. As we gather together, we notice the pink cloth and light the pink candle on our Advent wreath. We then listen to the Gospel where St John the Baptist, from his prison cell, hears about the amazing things Jesus is doing. We also draw close to the stable in Bethlehem and consider the beautiful joy Mary, St Joseph, the shepherds and wise men felt as they met with Jesus. We end with prayer and the beautiful Advent hym ‘Gabriel’s Message.’
