As we meet Jesus in the Gospel, we join his friends the night before he died. His friends are confused and sad, but Jesus makes them a promise - “I will not leave you as orphans.” Jesus will never leave you on your own. He asks the Father to send the Holy Spirit to be your helper and guide. With this truth in our hearts we invite the presence of the Holy Spirit into our prayer time and then sing ‘Holy Spirit You Are Welcome Here.’
