When Jesus tells his friends he must go to Jerusalem to die, Peter tries to change his mind. Jesus tells Peter that the way he is thinking is not God’s way. Jesus’s words in the Gospel help us to understand that we must always keep our eyes on heaven, press on through challenges and keep God’s promises in our hearts.
